Our patented bladder system adds approximately 320 lbs. (145 kg) of traction-boosting weight to compact trucks and approximately 400 lbs. (182 kg) to full-size pickups. Filled with water from a garden hose, the ShurTrax system is baffled to prevent sloshing, cold crack protected to -40ºF (-40°C), and is guaranteed for 5 years of commercial use.
This simple system lies flat in your trunk or truck bed, with a cost that is comparable to or less than many other solutions. Unlike tube sand that can break or deteriorate, leaving a mess that can damage the finish of a vehicle, ShurTrax uses a reinforced vinyl bladder filled with water to achieve the weight. In addition, when properly installed, ShurTrax won’t turn into a projectile in an accident like tube sand and cinder blocks can.
The ShurTrax system is currently in use by many fleets, including meter readers, cable TV installers, auto supply delivery vehicles, oil field service fleets, police vehicles, and other municipal vehicles in both the U.S. and Canada.
